Domino 6.x Server Crashes on Router Task when Configured to Use Remote Journaling

Technote Number: 1279984

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering and has been addressed in Domino
6.0.5 and 6.5.4.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.5 / 6.5.4 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):
Server Administration
SPR# LSPR5TLNHP - The router will no longer hang or crash while journaling mail.

As a workaround, configure the journaling database to be local rather than
remote.
The issue appears to be related to remote journaling only. If you are
configured to journal messages locally, the server will not crash. Remote
journaling is defined as configuring your Domino server to use a mail-in
database rather than journaling messages locally.

Supporting Information:
The problem occurs when a Domino server is configured to use remote journaling
and the mail-in journaling database is over 1GB in size. In the Configuration
document, you specify the Method for journaling to use a mail-in database. The
template used for the mail-in database is the mail journaling database.
